Jealousy Makes You Ugly: Not a GOOD Look!

"Anger is cruel, and wrath is like a flood, but jealousy is even more dangerous." [Proverbs 27:4]
Jealousy...the feelings of hostility and resentment against someone because of that person's rivalry, success, or advantages...the feelings of resentment and envy because someone else is in a position, a certain situation,  and/or simply has a life you wish to be in and have. Jealousy...NOT a GOOD look!  People who are jealous and secretly fume with envy, show this ugliness all over their contenance.  As their hearts are boiling with this unhealthy disposition, usually unbeknowst to them, their facial expressions "don't lie" and their pores reek with the foul scent of enviousness...This "green-eyed monster" is a far cry from a GOOD look...It's a BAD look and it can make a pretty woman, UGLY!!!  It's a PITIFUL look!!! I am quite sure that God did not intend for His precious creation to put on this ugly, monsterous look.  Actually, according to the Bible, God commanded against it. "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's. " [Exodus 20:17]
Similar to the way in which jealousy and envy are based on the desire to have what someone else has, covetousness is marked by the inordinate desire for wealth or possessions or for another's possessions.  Apparently, God knew the detrimental affects covetousness could have and decided that is warranted being one of His top ten commandments.
Not only does jealousy give you a BAD look, but it also has the tendency to give birth to reckless actions and evil-doing, simply because a person's burning desire to have something else, or be in a different position, often blinds them and takes over (blocking all rationality).
"For wherever there is jealousy (envy) and contention (rivalry and selfish ambition), there will also be confusion (unrest, disharmony, rebellion) and all sorts of evil and vile practices." [James 3:16 AMP]
"...jealousy is as hard and cruel as Sheol (the place of the dead)..." [Song of Solomon 8:6]

Our God knows the ugliness of jealousy and the negativity that it breeds.  His desire is for us to tend to our own "grass" and be content in whatever situation or position that we are currently in.  He knows the deep desires of our hearts and ultimately knows what is best for us, and the proper time and season for us to have those things.  Often we may prematurely desire some situation that seems "greener on the other side", but have no clue what sacrifices and trials came along with getting that "green grass".  But God knows what we need, what we desire, and when we ARE READY and fully mature for it.  And quite honestly, some situations and positions are just NOT a plan for OUR lives; they may not be in the flow of the path of our God-willed destiny...and that's gotta be okay, too!

"...for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have." [Philippians 4:11]

"...be content with what you have, because God has said, 'Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.' " [Hebrews 13:5]
Ladies, let God create in you a clean heart and drop that ugly dragon look!  Be content with who God made you and what He has given you at this time.  It could VERY WELL be that your UGLY look is what's actually keeping you for attaining all that you have hoped for!!! Think on THAT!!!!!!!!

Let's BE GRATEFUL & CONTENT...
Now that's a GOOD LOOK!!!
