"Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for
someone to devour."
[1 Peter 5:8]
Here are the possible scenarios: You go to church, watch a Christian program, read a devotional blog, or read the Bible, and undeniably get a powerful word and revelation from God to change your life or the negative situation you've been struggling through. Maybe you've been chronically sick or fighting depression, and you get an awesome word on the healing power of God...maybe you have been struggling financially, and get a revelation on how to experience restoration in your finances...maybe you have been struggling with a food addiction, and the message hits home and seems like it was tailor-made for you, reminding you that your body is the temple of God and you already have the ability to be a conqueror...or perhaps, you have committed your life and time to spread His word and have been diligently doing so, getting awesome Holy Spirit-inspired messages to share with the world...
AND THEN...out of what seems like nowhere...you feel the ATTACK...
-your illness or depression seems to be getting worse, not better...
-you find out that your bank account is negative and have no clue how this could possibly be...
-you start thinking about food more than you normally do, and it seems that everything that you have been trying to avoid, your roomate or husband happens to bring home that week (randomly and out-of the blue)...
-you have been preaching "the word" of perseverance, and all of sudden you get hit with a case of weariness and are far from having the desire to "press through" like you've preached; you want to give up...
WHAT IN THE WORLD HAPPENED???
I DO NOT GET THIS???!!!
Oh, but Ladies, this is exactly when and where you and I MUST be
ALERT, AWARE, & highly CONSCIOUS!!!
We must be clear that these series of events are not by accident and are truly not that strange at all. You see, when we receive "a word" from God or a life-altering revelation, we need to be prepared and know that Satan will surely and immediately be waiting right at our doors to try and steal that word/revelation from us. He will be waiting, right there, to deceive us and trick us into believing that "the word" is NOT effective, that things are actually getting worse, and that we should give up.
"Some people are like seed along the path, where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the word that was sown in them." [Mark 4: 15]
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy..." [John 10:10]
We must start to be more aware and learn to recognize his predictable ways. We must be assured that he is the great deceiver and a dirty liar [John 8:44 & Revelations 12:9]. His mission is far from our good; but he actually desires to steal from us, kill us, and devour us. These are VIOLENT desires and actions, directed towards US! Therefore, we cannot continue to be oblivious to his schemes and plans for our destruction. We must be alert, aware, and conscious so that we can resist him, and he may flee [James 4:7]!!!
And how do we do that?
- First, we must know in advance, that he lies in wait to come and steal the Word from us, the moment it is sown into our hearts [Mark 4:15].
- Next, we need to stay "prayed-up" and plead the blood of Jesus over our minds, hearts, and souls.
- Third, when we sense that he is slithering his way over to us, in order to lie and deceive us concerning "the truth", we need to submit ourselves to God, rebuke the enemy (in Jesus' name) [James 4:7], and keep our minds stayed on God (and things that are above) [Isaiah 26:3 & Colossians 3:2].
Let's not be predictable to him any longer,
let us predict his schemes before he tries them on us!
"And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us
from the evil one." [Matthew 6:13]
BEWARE!!!
P.S. ~Sorry that this text is absent of images/photos today. I was having server challenges. Ultimately, I decided to post immediately, in order to get His word out (hopefully pics can be added later).

"Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, BUT I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me." [Philippians 3:12]...My life's motto!
